Organizations that develop, provide or use artificial intelligence (AI).
Problems we solve
New requirements for AI governance, risk management and compliance (e.g. the EU AI Act).
Benefits
Establish a responsible AI Management System (AIMS) to strengthen governance, risk control and stakeholder trust.
Introduction to Artificial Intelligence
AI is a highly interdisciplinary field drawing on computer science, data science, the natural sciences, mathematics and the social sciences. What distinguishes AI from other technologies is the volume and complexity of data it processes, and its ability to automate decisions and adapt as its environment changes — in ways not explicitly coded or known in advance.
Because of these characteristics, managing AI has distinct features. ISO 42001 helps organizations responsibly fulfil their role with respect to AI systems (using, developing, monitoring or providing AI-enabled products and services), setting out requirements to establish, implement, maintain and continually improve an AI management system.
As enterprises invest heavily in AI, the need for AI governance grows in step. Governments worldwide are enacting laws — such as the EU AI Act — to govern AI. ISO 42001 is designed to respond to these challenges by helping enterprises build an effective management framework for developing and applying AI, using a risk-based approach appropriate to each use case.
Our approach
IngSafe designs its ISO 42001 implementation to match different roles — developers, service providers and users — proposing effective management measures for the relevant AI systems to achieve responsible development and use of AI.
